Abstract
(1) Chapter I: A literature survey was presented on glimepiride and clop amide dmgs concerning their determination and separation at various conditions. A literature survey on dyestuff reagents such as bromophenol blue (BPB), bromocresol green (BCG) and bromocresol purple (BCP) was given. An idea about the use of these chromogenic reagents as selective analytical reagents was given in details.
Includes the experimental part, the materials, solutions, instmments used and working procedures were gIven. It contains full details for preparation of dyestuff and drug solutions. The analytical method used in spectrophotometric determination of the studied glimepiride and clopamide drugs in pure solution and in pharmaceutical preparations is also described.
It involves simple, rapid and reliable spectrophotometric methods adopted for the determination of glimepiride and clopamide drugs via ion¬pair formation with bromophenol blue (BPB), bromocresol green (BCG) and bromocresol purple (BCP) reagents.
