Abstract

The purpose of this work is to study the some problems of flow and heat transfer on wavy surfaces. The studied of MHD boundary layer flow over a continuously moving wavy surface in an electrically conducting fluid at rest embedded in a fluid considered very essential to understand the behavior of the performance of fluid motion in several applications such as the cooling of nuclear reactors, the geothermal system, processes and the heat exchanger design. The governing equations transformed into a non¬dimensional form by using appropriate dimensionless variables that eliminate the wavy surface effect from the boundary conditions. A [mite difference fully implicit numerical method is used to solve the governing equations.
ew variables to transform the complex geometry into a simple shape were used and a very efficient implicit finite-difference (fully implicit) scheme was employed to solve the boundary-layer equations. Detailed results for the velocity and temperature profiles are presented and also the results for the Nusselt number. These results are given for different values of relevant physical parameters including the magnetic parameter M, inverse Darcy number Da-I, cone half-angle ¢ and viscosity parameter c, the amplitude of wavy surface a , Hall current parameter m , Prandtl number Pr and physical parameter Gr /Re2 •
