Abstract This study compared two novel obturation materials (GuttaFlow and InnoEndo) with respect to their sealing ability and adaptation in curved canals. Sixty four mesial roots were prepared using Ni-Ti Rotary files and obturated using single cone technique, after smear layer removal. Canals were divided into four groups (GuttaFlow, InnoEndo, RoekoSeal and AH Plus). Obturation was evaluated radiographically, by apical dye penetration/clearing test and by cross sectioning. Samples were photographed (stereomicroscope) and examined. Results showed that GuttaFlow had best radiographic quality and least mean of dye penetration. InnoEndo gave significantly highest mean of dye penetration. No significant difference between groups regarding the existence of voids in Cross sections. |
