Abstract Experiment 1: The condition under which calves are managed, the rearing systems, age, performance and behaviour of calves were all investigated. The study of these aspects of calves management and their relative influences on behavioural and productive performance of investigated calves revealed that: the group teat fed calves spent more time in sucking milk than individual teat or bucket fed calves (77.60+2.62; 77.08+2.33 and 32.13+0.83 sec. respectively).Similarly the total time spent feeding concentrate or hay was higher in group teat fed calves than individual teat fed calves or bucket fed calves (2.20+0.13 min./h.;1.90+0.11 min./h. and 1.80+0.16 min./h. respectively |
