Abstract
Aim: Assessment of the existing oral and dental health services, in Cairo Governorate, in Ministry of Health (Hospitals, Maternity and Child Welfare Health Centers and Medical centers). Methodology: The dental delivery system assessed in Cairo governorate in year 2009 in governmental sector that belongs to the Ministry of Health. Information’s concerning the distribution of dentists, the dentist population ratio, post graduate training and qualifications of dentists, the number of dental auxiliaries, condition of dental equipments, materials and supplies were reported. These information’s were described and compared with those found in other localities of Egypt such as Giza, Dakahlia and Alexandria governorates as well as some developed and developing countries.
