Abstract

This investigation was conducted to study the effect of micronutrients (boron- molybdenum) on wheat plants under different
levels of potassium fertilizer and to study the effects on some
constituents of wheat plant (cultivar Gimmeiza-9) during vegetative
growth and grain and straw yields.
The experiment included three treatments at main plots occupied
by different potassium fertilizer levels of zero kg potassium/fed, 24 kg
potassium/fed and 48 kg potassium/fed, the potassium fertilizer form
was potassium sulfate (48% K2O). The amounts of potassium fertilizer
were added in the first irrigation, the mounts of phosphorous and
nitrogen fertilizers were added with recommended doses.
Sub-plots occupied by micronutrients (boron- molybdenum)
treatments were zero p.p.m, (100-200 p.p.m) boron and (100-200
p.p.m) molybdenum. The micronutrients were applied twice as foliar
spray, the first one was applied after 49 days from sowing, the second
spray was applied after one week from the first one and the other
different field practices were followed in the usual manner for wheat
cultivation.
