Abstract
An experimental Investiqatlon was directed to study the air distributIon In aIr-condItIoned rooms. Tests were carried out on a model to stUdy the ettect ot Heynolds number, Archiimedes number and location ot aIr Inlet openlnq on the flow pattern insIde the room.
The problem ot tlow pattern In the condItioned rooms has had limited previous studies. Previous work dealt with the etfect of size and shape ot air inlet openinq on the velocity and temperature profiles inside the air-conditIoned room. Few investigators tried to study the Intluence ot Archimedes number on the flow pattern.
The objective ot the present stUdy is to Investiqate the influence of Heynolds and ArchImedes numbers toqether with the location ot the openlnq on the tlow pattern InSIde the air- conditioned room. Three locatIons ot the Inlet openlnq
In additIon, turther stUdies were carried out to obtain data correlations for heat transfer from the room.
