Histopathological examination confirm The diagnosis of chronic endometritis in 68 of the cases, and 4 of the control by detection of plasma cells in the endometrial biopsy. The sensitivity, specificity, and positive and negative predictive values of hysteroscopy based on detection of hyperemia, edema and, micropolyps were 94.44%,57.14%,85% and 80% respectively.
There was significant association between hysteroscopic picture suggesting chronic endometritis and its confirmation by Histopathological examination of endometrial biopsy from the suspected area.
