Abstract Al Zheimer disease causes changes in the brain, and affects partsofthemental and behavioral functions and mental. The disease affects5% of people aged 65 years and 20% of people aged 80 years. The patientloses memory ,communication & physical abilities and eventually the patients loses his life. So this study was designed to assess the nutritional status and health of a group ofpatients from a hospital Shebin Al-komandelderly house, residents in the city Shebin Al-kom Menoufia Sampleconsisted of100cases of elderly (60 years and above) andalso includedcaring for the patient. sample consisted of (63% female, 37% male)The Aldrashaml included questionnaires to get thefollowing informations:-Thesocialandeconomicsituation:Thesample was distributed searchdepending on the variable (level of education -theprofession - differentincome groups - Status - development of housing and care - the numberof family members - outgoing food - physical measurements - Age).-Healthstatusandclinicalexamination of patients in terms of thesymptoms of the disease spread among segments of society as well as signs of health Mzaraforeigy a function on an assessment of some nutrients any person suffering from Alzheimer’s disease. - The study included work questionnaires to learn eating habits in patients because of the most important themes leading to cons and complications of the disease is attributable disease incidence of weakness in dietaryhabits and long-term rather than short-term Vtm question on some foodsthat improve or mitigate Oomena severity of the disease.- Has also been studying the relativenumberofpatientswithpassivityand lack of interest and which have been identified on the degrees offocus ofthe caseandbehavioraldeviationinthesepatients.Summary English-Wasdividedsampleaccording to the degree ofinjuryAlzheimer’s.Includesthequestionnaire on a number of questions divided into threelevels for each level three grades are excellent and the average and weakon the basis of three degrees of excellence, two degrees of average, onedegree for the weak and in doing so was sentenced at the level of memoryand forgetfulness in these.The studyresults could be summarized in thefollowing:1-Dementia of the Alzheimer’s typedisease (A.D) influence 5% ofhumans nearby 65 yr. age and 20% of over 80 yr of agedue to nervecells reduction in thebrain.The disease is expanding due to modern life pressures .In this study, effectsofthis disease were studied on 100 ofpatients (63 females&37 males) living in shebin El-kom city, Minoufiya.Patientsrevealed similarityinanthropometricmeasurement .mean forheight was 161.219.08cmandweight 77.99 13.5 kg body massindex was 30.01 (45%) whichwashigherforfemaleskg/m2many of patients were illiterate (57.14%) than males(24.32%) .Atthe.sametimeuniversity group waspronounced(30%showingthatthediseaseisno)trestricted for illiterate. Much of patients (40%) were low income, but a pronounced proportion of high income group (26%) were also inflicted with the disease .Height proportion of patients was divorced plus widowed 2-(51%in both), but married per cent was also high (49%) nevertheless it is possible that living without the spouse many enhance the disease .Highest proportion of female belong to freelancers (60%) and lowest to private sector (14%). It was found that 20% of patients live in elderly homes having possibly no families. About 52 %of sample get help in food preparation and 58% get some home services specially for males ,but 48% & 32% respectively do not get that which is not proper .Family size seems to have no relation to Alzheimer’s disease .About 50% and 32% respectively of patients spent 50% and 25% of monthly income on - ٩٨ - Summary English food indicating the high prices in shebin el-kom ,males seem to spent more than females . 3-Prevalence of Alzheimer’s disease was much greater at the higher age group (65-75 years), being 68% compared to the lower age group (58-65 years ),being 32% wich seems to be similer regardless of gender. 4-In case of 13 health disorders prevalence was at 60% of total sample, provided that for 12 ailments males were at higher percent than females while the nerves recorded for other 12 ailments. Investigated ailments included movement hande & legs, skin, nail & lip color, diabetes mellitus, Obesity, heart ,renal ,stomach ailments, urination ,vision disorders ,anemia and arthritis etc. 5-About 38% & 47% of female patients and 38 % & 46% of male patients do not take breakfast and dinner respectively, calling for much more care .Much care should be directed to 82% patients eating legumes ,while 30% only of them take milk every day , Taking rosemary (herb with antioxidant properties ) was acceptable (70% of sample ). 6-Lack of attention ,isolation & negative, intolerance & indifference and depression were prevalent among patients . Alzheimer’s disease injuries at the second level ,which were at insufficient with the first half of proverbs ,dressing & wearing appeal and move hands, & legs.
