Abstract
The present work was target to study the effect ofOlibanum,Myrrh,Sea grape
,SageandMixture of all plants (as7.5%) on obese ratsfor reducing body weight andtheincreaseimmunity.Forthispurposethe study included 35 rats about 150±10(g) weight.Biological&chemicalanalysisofserum,bloodandhistopathologicalinvestigation of internalorgans were carried out.The results couldbesummarized as follows:11-DuetoObesity,ratsBWG ,FERwereincreased, but FI wasdecreased.2-Feeding on basal diet containedOlibanum, Myrrh,Sea grape
,SageandMixture of all plants lowered the BWG & FER while raised FI .3-Obesity raised theinternalorgansweights while the reverseindicatedon feeding withOlibanum, Myrrh, Salvia officinals,
Coccoloba uviferaand mixtureofallplants (as7.5%).4-Due to obesity, rats serum glucose level was raised,butwhenfeeding on basal dietcontainedOlibanum, Myrrh,
Sea grape,SageandMixture of all pla
nts (as7.5%)glucose decreased .Treatment
with mixture of all plants recorded the highest decrement.5-Obesityandhigh fat diet caused the increased TC , TG, LDLc &VLDLc ,but resulted in the decreased the serum HDLc.
