Abstract Management of iseheinic heart disease is now entering a new phase in which, based on experimental and early clinical studies, made the change of infarction size possible. (Braunwold et al., 1984) Clearly, the overall mass of an infarction as well as its location is crucial. With this consideration in mind, one should regard the need for methods to assess the extension and location of acute myocardial infarc tion * In the current study, major interest has focused on the accuracy of the noninvasive technique (2D echo) in detecting the exact location of myoçardial infarction, and the location of any abnormal segmental wall motion. Also we are aiming to utilize this noninvapive technique (M—mode) in the determination of left ventricular function. |
