Abstract

The present study aim to study queen rearing methods under Sohag governorate conditions. The results refers to:
1. The highest acceptance of the grafted queen cell cups was in summer.
2. the highest level of acceptance by using royal jelly.
3. the closed hive process increase the acceptance level.
4. strong colony population constructed more queen cells.
5. queen less colony produce more virgin queens.
6- the first hybrid Carniolan larva showed the highest level of acceptance.
-the Egyptian colonies constructed more queen cups.
- the highest weight of queens were produced by the Carniolan bee larvae and the Italian honeybee colonies .
7. polishing for 24 hours increase the acceptance level then12 hours and the latest polishing for two hours.
8. Fixing the wax cups on the wax comb face was resulted in higher acceptance than fixing cups on the wooden bars.
