Abstract The chemotherapeutic agents are double-edged sword where they are able to kill cancer cells, and at the same time kill the normal cells leading to detrimental effects on the body. This had to be thinking in the use of natural materials with them to reduce the harmful effects. In the present study, Sixty adult female Swiss albino mice weighted 30-40 gm were obtained from the Laboratory Animal Housing Unit, Animal Health, Research Institute, Dokki, Cairo, Egypt. The animals were clinically healthy, kept under hygienic conditions. Housed in metal cages with hard wood shavings as bedding. They were maintained on balanced ration; water and the feed were giving ad-libtum through out the experimental period. The animals were accommodated to the laboratory conditions for one week before beginning of experiment, the animals were inoculated with EAC. The animals divided into six equal groups as the following: • control: used as (-ve ) control (normal diet) . Sp I : (+ve) control feed on Sp I % in diet for 3 weeks Sp I + Sp2: (+ve) control feed on Sp 1 % in diet for 3 weeks and continued after EAC inoculation for 7 days MMC : intra peritoneal injection ofMMC lmg/kg b.wt for 7 days |
