Abstract
The synthesis of some new azoles and azines derivatives were reported here, reaction of o-phenylendiamine derivative 1 with dithiocarboxylic acid derivatives 2 gave benzimidazole derivatives 3 and 4. When compound 1 was allowed to react with dicarbonyl compound (namely, acetylacetone and ethylacetoacetate ), it yielded amino derivatives 5 and 8. The treatment of compounds 5 and 8 with sodium nitrite in hydrochloric acid yielded benzotriazepine derivatives 7 and 10. Reaction of compound 1 with benzaldehyde gave shiff’s base 11 which treated with sodium nitrite in hydrochloric acid and gave benzotriazine 12. Whereas, reaction of compound 1 with acetophenone yielded condensation product 13 which treated with nitrous acid and gave benzotriazine 15.
