Abstract
Lake Mariut acts as a temporary reservoir for huge amounts of grainage water which is often heavily contaminated with variable amounts of anthropogenic inputs in additionl large loads of industrial wastes are dumped diectly into the lake accordingly this lagoon has been deteriorated and huge areas of it were changed into a markedly eutrophic state saad 1987,1988 halim,1994.
