Abstract The presnt study was carried out on 147 apparently healthy buffalo-cows in Sharkia Govemorate. Those animals were obtained from different localities, and randomly chosen. The common forms of reproductive disorders and affections in buffalo-cows are 61(41.49%) anoestrous (inactive ovary), 30(20.41%) silent heats and 56(38.09%) repeat breeders. These forms of infertility tend to affect individual animals, but they are becoming more important as attention is paid to the environmental and health constraints. In this study, the case history of each animal was taken from the owners. The buffalo-cows were examined generally and specially (rectally and vaginally) to determine the reproductive status of each animal (classified to anoestrum, silent heat and repeat breeder groups). The buffalo-cows were classified into 4 groups, group-l (control group, No=20) received no treatment, group-2 (61 animals suffering from anoestrous), group-3 (30 animals suffering from silent heat) and group-4 (56 animals suffering from repeat breeder). The buffalo-cows in group 1 (control group, No=20), no treatment, while those in group 2 were treated with Logul’s iodine, Minerals mixture, Sodium dibasic phosphate, Rafoxanide, Adevet AD3E, Tonophosphane and ovarian massage. Those in group-3 were treated with Estroplan, Rafoxanide, AdevetAD3E and Tonophosphan. Moreover, the buffalo-cows in group 4 were divided into 2 subgroup, subgroup a (no=28), were treated with Amflux, Rafoxanide, AdevetAD3E and Tonophosphan. |
