Abstract In this work an attempt to prepare the Ni-Fe metallic glasses by the ectrodeposition technique has been made. Five samples of NilOo-xFex etallicglasses with [x=8. 5, 18.5, 25.5, 45 and 51] were prepared by the ectrodepositiontechnique. All samples were annealed for three hours at fferent temperatures Tan=500oC, 700°C and 900°C. X-ray diffraction-, lectrical-, electrochemical-, and magnetic- measurements were used to entifyand characterize the samples. X-ray scans were made for the five samples before and after ealing. The x-ray diffractograms showed that, the addition of iron causes broadening of the diffraction pattern, which increases with increasing the ’On concentration. This indicates that the amorphousity of the glasses is onglydependent on its composition. The effect of annealing showed that a multi stage crystallization echanism of the NilOo-xFex system was reported as the annealing emperaturewas increased. In the first stage, the system exhibited a yNhFe hase where y is the face center cubic structure . In the intermediate stage, e system exhibited mixed yNhFe and yNiFe phases. Whereas in the final tage, the system exhibited a yNiFe In addition, the stabilization of phase. |
