Abstract
The aims of the current study are:
1. To study the frequency of tramadol abuse among attendants of Hot Line clinic of Minia Psychiatric Hospital.
2. To demonstrate the frequency of having seizures among those with tramadol abuse.
3. To study the different probable factors that might be related to the occurrence of seizures in such patients.
Conclusion :
(1) frequency of Tramadol abuse, either alone or with other substances, among the studied sample.
(2) High frequency of seizures among the studied Tramadol abusers
(52.4 %).
(3) Seizures occurrence among the studied Tramadol abusers is dose-dependent.
(4) Seizures occurrence among the studied Tramadol abusers might be related to increased duration of Tramadol abuse.
(5) Illegal tablet forms of Tramadol are strongly suggested to be important factor in causing seizure among the studied Tramadol abusers.
