Introduction:
The current century witness a clear increase in the knowledge and the huge revolution in information and stunning advance of ideas, where he achieved this century scientific achievements enormous in all areas not seen the humanitarian community before, there has been a revolution in the technical means, including means of communication even become the globe like a small village full of information interconnected and intertwined, which follow changes sharply at a rapid rate at all political levels and economic and social, educational and cultural, which called for the need to develop a new philosophy for the development of education aims to change the way of thinking of the student until a new generation grows up unable to use his mind in the face of the challenges of the times.
Despite the progress and the tremendous development in recent But the educational system currently still longer generations lacked future vision where he lives today in the light of past glories without regard for the future and that means it creates a generation away behind accelerating global, generation thinks a linear fashion and not in a manner systemic making it does not see from all but a few parts, leading to increased technological and cultural gap and information between us and the developed countries.
The learner in order to be able to think a systemic manner, not in a linear manner must possess the following skills:
1. Determine the subject and be seen as an integrated unit.
2. Analysis of non-linear systems to interrelated parts.
3. Identify the interrelationships between the basic components.
4. Determine the effect of each component of nested components to the integrated system.
5. Find creative relationships are meaningful integrated systems.
The natural sciences integrated system as it contains structures associated with each tangled relations interrelated overlapping, as it includes many concepts is not clear meaning unless seen in the context of a coherent whole, which emphasizes the need to use systemic approach in the teaching and learning of the natural sciences.
The importance of the use of systemic approach in that it cares to identify the preconceptions among students and build knowledge through systemic schemes that help to link knowledge Previous existing cognitive structure and new knowledge to be gained, what helps in form a clear systemic vision among students through the study of relationships between concepts, in addition to that interested in the application of expertise in new situations resulting shift in the structure of perceptions students Cognitive into meaningful image .
The importance of the concepts and the need to focus on learning in the science curriculum it helps The learner to understand the nature of science and facilitates transmission of the impact of learning, plus they contribute to reducing the need to re-learn when confronted with new knowledge and help guidance, forecasting and planning for various activities It also helps to organize and link groups of objects and events in addition to that it is an essential step in learning various generalizations of principles, laws and theories.
The strategic concept maps is one strategy that can help the learner to acquire concepts are interrelated and functional as it enables the use of higher cognitive abilities to develop and design conceptual map and thus learning becomes meaningful for students.
Because computer became occupies a prominent place in our lives in all areas of life and this was confirmed by the Ministry of Education and putting a comprehensive plan for the development of education to enter the computer in schools at all levels of education intensively and make educational material taught to students, and this can be the student of the change pattern Learning from simply providing information written directly to the study of and access to information and to find inter related and inter connected relationships between information and each other, which may help in the development of systemic thinking skills among students.
The Hypermedia one of the areas of computer use in the field of teaching and learning, where allows students the freedom of movement between the elements of information and functional, and that’s what impulse some to Considered an integral part of the learning environments and a model to employ technological innovations in teaching and learning processes, it consider the educational system that helps the learner to learn by providing a large degree of freedom in dealing with article educated and therefore there is an interaction between the learner and the learning material which actualize learning career and better educated.
Because the nature of the natural sciences include both types of systemic concepts and sub-concepts Therefore, the present study is trying to adopt a suggested program using hypermedia-based merger between systemic approach and concept maps in order to achieve the ultimate goal of education is to build good citizens capable of thinking in a manner coherent systemic combines all the elements of the situation, enabling it to face the future with all its challenges.
The problem of the study :
The problem for the study lies in the low level of preparatory stage students achievement of scientific concepts and low the level of systemic thinking skills and which may be due to the weak correlation between the topics and concepts presented to them and concepts previously studied and not formulated in a manner systemic integrated which may be due to the organization of curriculum content or traditional methods used in the teaching of science at that stage.
The current study has targeted to solve this problem by answering the following main question:
What is the Effectiveness of the suggested program using hypermedia-based merger between systemic approach and the concept maps in teaching science on the achievement and the development of some systemic thinking skills of preparatory stage students?
Branching from the main question the following sub-questions:
1. What is the scientific concept contained in the unit, ”Diversity and adaptation in living organisms” of science book scheduled to first year prep students (first semester)?
2. What is the systemic thinking skills appropriate to the level of the study sample students?
3. What is the form of the suggested program which based on the use of hypermedia in light of the structural standard necessary for the design of hypermedia programs?
4. What is the effect of using the suggested program in teaching science on the development of the achievement of the student of the first preparatory stage?
5. What is the effect of using the suggested program in teaching science on the development of some systemic thinking skills of the student of the first preparatory stage?
6. What is the effectiveness of using the suggested program in teaching science on the development of the achievement of the study sample?
7. What is the effectiveness of using the suggested program in teaching science on the development of some systemic thinking skills of the study sample?
The Objectives of the study:
The current study included the following Objectives:
1. Know the effect of using the suggested program based on hypermedia merger between systemic approach and the concept maps in teaching science on the development of the achievement of the student of the first preparatory stage.
2. Know the effect of using the suggested program based on hypermedia merger between systemic approach and the concept maps in teaching science on the development of some systems thinking skills of the student of the first preparatory stage.
3. Measure the effectiveness of the using of the suggested program in the development of the achievement of a sample study.
4. Measure the effectiveness of the using of the suggested program in the development of some systemic thinking skills of a sample study.
