Abstract Firstly, conversion of solar energy into electrical energy through photoelectrochemical reaction using photogalvanic cell. Secondly, optimization of the cell is undertaken in order to achieve: 1) A high power output and light conversion as possible.2) High storage capacity of the cell. The optimization of the cell could be attained by: a) Changing different components of the cell make-up such as the organometallic dyes, coordinated complexes, and surfactants, b) Variation of the concentration of components of the cell, c) Variation of pH of the solutions used. Thus, we can achieve a better understanding of the mechanism of the cell. Thirdly, calculations of different parameters of the cell. |
