Abstract This study was carried out to establish Egyptian adult standards for two types of cephalometric analyses. The data were obtained from CBCT lateral and frontal projection images. The first, is numeric analysis including standards for lateral and frontal cephalometric measurements to be compared with that of patient`s, The other is non numeric standard templates for both sexes in each 3 sizes to accommodate variations in skull size. The patient`s tracing (not measurements) to be superimposed with the template compatible in sex, age and size to detect patient`s abnormality. The sample was consisted of 100 Egyptian adults (50 males and 50 females) selected with age range from 18 to 25 years, having accepted occlusion and pleasant facial profile. The sample was selected from Cairo university undergraduates and oral surgery outpatient clinic seeking extraction of wisdoms for this study. |
