Abstract A total numbers of 500 juvenile specimens of Macrobrachium rosenbergii were collected during (2011) from Alexandria (Maruit). Specimens were transferred to the laboratory of Central Laboratory for Aquaculture Research (CLAR), Abbassa, Sharika, Egypt. Clinically, specimens showed whitish coloration of abdominal muscle, cephalothorax and tail region. Histopathologically, hepatopancreas showed basophilic intracytoplasmic inclusion bodies and necrosis of striated muscle. Nested RTPCR protocol was more sensitive than Multiplex RTPCR (one and two step). Percentage of infections of MrNV virus were 9% using (nested RTPCR), while Percentage of infections of XSV virus were 7%. Some prawn revealed clinical signs, but they were negative by RTPCR. |
