Abstract
The purpose of the present study was divided into, first; experimental evaluation of the dissolution of three sealer brands (Zinc
oxide/Eugenol based, Epoxy resin based, polyvinyl siloxane based) and a
gutta percha brand in chloroform and in a newly selected essential oil. Second; invitro evaluation of the efficiency of retreatment using a Rotary
Nickel Titanium system (D RaCe) using chloroform, the essential oil or no
solvent, in oval canals obturated with the above sealers and gutta percha, with regards to retreatment time and percentage of remaining debris.
