Abstract Since scarce studies investigated the presence of cancer stem cells in mucoepidermoid carcinoma and similarly few studies correlated their presence with MEC grades. The present study was conducted to assess the presence of CSCs in MEC immunohistochemically in order to detect its role in tumorgenesis using CD133 as stem cell marker and to correlate between the count of CD133 cells and grades of MEC. |
