Hypertension is one of the most common health problems in older adults and affects approximately one billion individuals worldwide. Poorly controlled hypertension is a significant public health concern all over the world, in term of morbidity, mortality, and economic burden especially among older adults. The goal of hypertension treatment is to prevent death and complications by achieving and maintaining the blood pressure at 140\90 mm Hg or lower. Lifestyle modification is the first line of intervention for all patients with hypertension. So, providing the patients with adequate knowledge regarding the disease, its consequences and the importance of adopting healthy lifestyle on health outcome is vitally important on controlling blood pressure.
