Abstract

The thesis is divided into 5 parts:-Part I: (the introductory part) contains different classes of anticancer agents according to their mechanisms of action in addition to the different anticancer benzothiazole derivatives. Part II: includes the research objectives and the major aims that direct the theoretical and practical work. Part III: contains : 1. Theoretical discussion of the experimental work. It discusses the different conditions for the preparation of the desired compounds. 2.In vitro assay by the National Cancer Institute (NCI, USA) for anticancer evaluation. 3.In vitro kinase assay at Reaction biology corp., USA using hotspot technology.4. Molecular Modeling and computational studies to study the interaction of the compounds with the receptor and determine the pharmacophoric parts in the structures essential for activity. Part VI: represents the experimental part that discusses different methods that were used in this thesis for preparation of either the intermediated and final products. Moreover, the microanalytical and spectral data that confirm the structures of the newly synthesized compounds were summarized in this part. Part V: includes the list of 227 references and periodical literatures used in this thesis, covering the period of 1975-2014.
