المستخلص The title of the study: The Effectiveness of a guiding program based on school activities to reduce the severity of violence and develop selfs. efficiency of preparatory school students Aiِms of the study: This study aims at finding out the effect of a guided program based on school activities on developing self-efficacy for preparatory stage students as well as verifying the continuity of the effectiveness of the guiding program after the end of the guiding sessions and during the follow-up period. Sample of the study: The sample of the study consisted of 300 male and female students whose ages ranged from 12 to 15 from the Egyptian governmental schools, experimental schools and private schools. Then, the sample was divided into two groups; one experimental and one control. Instruments of the study: The study used on the experimental and the descriptive approaches and were designed the following instruments: - A violence scale for teenagers (prepared by the researcher) - Self-efficacy scale (prepared by the researcher) -School activities questionnaire (prepared by the researcher) -Economic and social level checklist(prepared by Abdel Aziz ElShakhs). Results of the study: -The results of the study have showed that there is a statistically significant difference between the experimental group and the control group on violence behavior and its dimensions in the pre and post measurement in the favor of the post measurement. -There is no statistically significant difference among the mean scores of the experimental group students on the level of violence behavior and its dimensions after conducting the guiding program ( the post measurements) and after the follow- 2 - up period in the tracking measurement ( the post measurement) -There is a statistically significant difference among the mean scores of the experimental group students in the pre - post measurement on the violence dimension scale and the total score for the scale in favor of the post measurement. ecommendations R of the study: In light of the results of the study, the following recommendations can be stated: 1-The interest of the Phenomenon of violence and trying to decrease it. 2- Conducting the guiding programs which contribute to achieve this aim. 3- Training teachers on conducting the guiding programs in order to decrease violence. 4- Paying attention to school activities and using the school theatre to apply psychodrama activitie |
