Abstract This study was done on Ismailia canal water .Ten studied sites were chosen that were have discharge from nearby factories so these sites were characterized by industrial pollution either with heavy metals and/or pesticide and using different method for treating these polluted water to remove these pollutants. The objective of this study was to investigate the following as: Part I: The presence of heavy metal and pesticide in surface water. For measuring the level of heavy metal we used Inductively coupled plasma ICP-OE and for measuring pesticide we use Mass gas chromatography Ms-GC after filtration of polluted water samples. Part II: The efficiency of different methods of polluted water as Conventional method by using Aluminum sulfite or Alum.Chemical method by using Ferric chloride.Biological method by using Pseudomonas bacteria. Part III: The effect of polluted water contain heavy metal on albino rats: from the result of part I we choose the most 3 metal (cadmium, lead and Manganese) that present with level above the permissible limit and administrated to rats. Classifying 25 rats to 5 groups meaning that each group contains 5 rats: 1st group: received polluted water contain Cd, Pb and Mn (Positive Control). |
