Abstract
Core competencies developed specifically for nurse educators serve as a guide in the delivery of quality nursing education. Nurse educators must address a wide range of skills and assist student nurses in their integration of theory and practice. A competent nurse educator has the ability to recognize both national and local changes in the trends of nursing and health care in an effort to keep his students and staff up to date. Nurse educators must assume full responsibility and accountability for their action competencies in the practice of nursing and education of students The aim of the current study was to assess core competence of nursing educators at Secondary Technical Schools of Nursing.
