Abstract
The theme of this research work is concentrated on the synthetic approaches for the synthesis of some new heterocyclic derivatives starting from 2-hydroxy-1-naphthaldehyde (1). The synthesized compounds were screened for their antimicrobial and cytotoxicity activities. The research work in this is divided into two parts: Coumarin and its derivatives are used as additives in food, perfumes, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, for their spasmolytic, cardiothioc, antiviral, anticancer properties and as laser dyes in the blue-green region.
