المستخلص Aim :To Study the relationship between Normal perfectionism, self confidence, Life Satisfaction and Scholastic Achievement in Secondary School. Semple : Asample of Students (N = 300) from Normal and Gifted students (aged 15 – 16 – yrs). Method: The study was used methods of descriptive, relative and comparative. Tools: The study was used: (1) Normal perfectionism scale…Prepared by the researcher. (2) Self-confidence scale… Prepared by the researcher. (3) Satisfaction with life scale… Prepared by the researcher. (4) The social-economic cultural level form… Prepared by the researcher. Results:Show that Normal Perfectionism was significantly associated with self confidence, Life Satisfaction and Scholastic Achievement among Students, and the gifted students characterized by high scores on Normal Perfectionism Scale than ordinary Students. Key Words: Normal Perfectionism Self Confidence Life Satisfaction Superiority Scholastic Achievement 1 Summary: The Relationship between the normal perfectionism, some cognitive variables and not cognitive variables in the secondary school. Aim of the study: The study aims at: Investigated the relationship between the normal perfectionism, scholastic Achievement, self confidence and satisfaction with life among normal and gifted students in the secondary school. Problem of the study: The study aims at answering the following questions: (A) Is there any relationship between the normal perfectionism and some cognitive variables (scholastic achievement) in the secondary school? (B) Is there any relationship between the normal perfectionism and some not coynitive variables (self2 confidence, satisfaction with life) in the secondary school? (C) Is there any difference between the social-cultural standard and the normal perfectionism in the secondary school? (D) Is there any difference between the normal perfectionism and gender in the secondary school ”male, female”? (E) Are there any differences between gifted and normal students of the secondary school in the normal perfectionism? The importance of the study: The importance of the current study, it discusses the concept of the normal perfectionism and it relation among scholastic achievement, self-confidence and satisfaction with life in the secondary school. Sample of the study: The sample of the study consisted of (300) male and female students of the secondary school (mean age 15-16 yrs), distributed as follows: (150) male students from the secondary school, (150) female from the secondary school, (32) gifted students, (268) normal students. 3 Tools of the study: (1) Normal perfectionism scale… prepared by the researcher. (2) Self-confidence scale… prepared by the researcher. (3) Satisfaction with life scale… prepared by researcher. (4) The social-economic cultural level form, prepared by researcher. Hypothesis of the study: This study try to verify the following the first hypothesis: There is any relationship between the normal perfectionism and some cognitive variables (scholastic Achievement) in the secondary school. The second hypothesis: There is any relationship between the normal perfectionism and some not cognitive variables (selfconfidence, satisfaction with life) in the secondary school. The third hypothesis: There is any difference between the social – cultural standard and the normal perfectionism in the secondary school. 4 The forth hypothesis: There is any difference between the normal perfectionism and gender in the secondary school ”male, female”. The Fifth hypothesis: There are any differences between gifted and normal students of the secondary school in the normal perfectionism. The results of the study: The results showed that: There was statistically significant relationship between normal perfectionism and scholastic achievement among secondary students. There was statistically significant relationship between normal perfectionism, self-confidence and satisfaction with life among secondary students. There were no statistically significant differences between the social-cultural standards in normal perfectionism. There were no statistically significant differences between male and female students in normal perfectionism. The gifted students characterized by high scores normal perfectionism scale than ordinary students. |
