Abstract

family Practice : This term is used to indicate the service part which gives a low weight to the core knowledge but emphasizes its practical aspect. It shared knowledge and skills with other specialties. However, the process in family practice is unique Satisfaction, like many other psychological concepts, is easy to understand but hard to define. The concept of satisfaction overlaps with similar themes such as happiness, contentment, and quality of life Compliance in family practice is defined as the extent or the degree of patient adherence to medical advice that is given by the physician The study was conducted to 1. assess the level and determinant of patient satisfaction. 2. assess the level and determinant of patient compliance . Type: cross sectional study Site: Two sites one urban and one rural selected by a multi stage random sampling technique The population sample of this study was (N = 200). The participants attended Quesna Family Health Center located in Quesna Menoufia and kafr meet serag Family Health Unit in Quesna menofia in the period from first April and ended in first of October in 2012 during the work hours 09:00 a.m. to 02:00 p.m. All participants were volunteered for the study The questionnaire consisted of fifty six questions; all were multiple choice questions but at the beginning inquiring about the demographic and personal profiles (name, age, marital state, education level, and job) along with the cause for attending the health facility the day of the interview and four other questions at the end of the questionnaire that were open ended questions to give the interviewees the chance to express their opinions in the general four topics (the best thing in the facility, the worst thing in the facility and suggestions for improving the services ^satisfy about health service provided to him). The study shows statically significant difference between urban and rural in age of patients. It shows statically significant difference (p<0.05) in education and job and significant difference as comparing patients occupation between urban and rural mothers as house wives were more among rural mothers (41 %) than urban mothers (18 %) The present study reported that about (63 %) of patients in rural area seek medical advice in 1ry health care represented by family health unit and (25 %) of patients prefer private clinics. While in urban area about (25 %) of patients seek medical advice in 1ry health care represented by family health center and (30 %) prefer private clinics This presented study reported that there is statically highly significant difference in patients satisfaction as regarding dealing in respectable manner of the reception employee of primary health care in rural and urban areas (p <0.001) while there is statically significant between urban and rural area in parents satisfaction as regarding dealing with doctors, and highly in nurses handling . (2 %) of participants reported that dealing with receptionist employee is bad dealing in urban group while ( 82 %) of rural participants reported that dealing is good (77%) is bad in urban and (3%) dealing is good . about.(53 %) of total participants reported a good dealing with doctor is good in rural and (47 %) reported bad dealing with doctor in rural . .(76 %) of total participants reported a good dealing with doctor is good in urban and (24 %) reported bad dealing with doctor in urban These results show highly significant among rural and urban areas (P<0.001) regard to patient satisfaction of availability of drugs but no significant in availability of medical equipment The presented study shows statically highly significant difference between urban and rural area as regarding satisfaction about pharmacy services including availability of drugs and cost of medication, and level of pharmacy services at all There’s statically significance (p <0.05 ) between urban and rural in improper place of waiting . ( 87%) of urban participants reported that good places of waiting while in rural participants ( 71 %) reported that is good . Understanding the difference between customer needs and customer satisfaction is crucial to the organization success in quality management. There are a number of suggested models to assist the integration of patient/client satisfaction.
