Abstract

Fungal diseases of cotton seeding diseases are anong the most important of those diseases that limit cotton lint and productivity.
these diseases are caused by many pathogenic species beloning to the genera :Fusarium Rhizoctonia, Pythium and Macrophomina.
among these organisms, oathogenic pythium spp. could be the most serious by causing pre- and post-emergence damping-off especially with relatively high soil moisture and soil compaction.
the diseases management includes several options such as : application of physical, chemical, and biological methods, or using of resistant cultivars.
many chemical fugicides have been used to keep the pathogen under control however, the control with fungicides has some limitations, non-systemic fungicides for their negative role in environmental pollution or toxic effects on non-target oorganisms and systemic fungicides for their high effects.
