Abstract

Abstract
Background: Marketing and branding are worthwhile efforts that demonstrate organization and system pride in nursing. An organization that makes the effort to show nurses are important in the organization can influence recruiting and retention and choosing nursing as a future career. Making a public commitment to the value of nurses is a strong step in setting the climate and environment for recruiting and retention. Aim: This is aimed at designing and validating a marketing plan for the nursing education. Methods: A methodological research design was used to carry out this study. was It conducted in preparatory schools and secondary schools at Helwan Governorate (private and public schools). Two groups of subjects were included: Totally (640)students , st 1group: This group consisted of (430) students at the third grade of the selected preparatory schools and (210) students at the third grade of scientific science division of the selected secondary schools. 2nd group: This group enrolled as jury group. It consisted of (11) experts, Faculty members from four Faculties of Nursing namely: Ain Shams, Cairo, Helwan University and American University in Cairo. Two tools were used in collecting data of this study. A self administered questionnaire sheet was used to assess students’ awareness regarding nursing education. A jury opinionnair sheet was used to elicit opinions of experts group regarding the suggested marketing plan to verify its face and contents validity.
Results: Showed that, there was no significant difference between preparatory and secondary students upon their knowledge about nursing education and there was a positive statistically significant difference between preparatory and secondary students upon their (positive and negative) attitudes toward nursing education, also the jury agreed upon the suggested marketing plan for nursing education.
Conclusion: A marketing plan for nursing education was designed and validated.
