Abstract According to the close relationship between the calvaria, which encloses the brain, and the facial skeleton, which is the rest of the skull,a mutual association is expected to be exist between the calvarial bones and the dentofacial patterns.Furthermore, the calvariam is an important site of bone graft harvest in reconstructive maxillofacial and plastic surgery. So, the knowledge of calvarial thickness in different skeletal patterns in both genders is mandatory for orthodontics, maxillofacial and plastic surgery. Therefore, the aim of the current study was to evaluate calvarial thickness in different skeletal patterns parameters and in both genders The sample included 120 pretreatment lateral cephalometric radiographs of adult patients aged between18 to 25 years, were attending at Orthodontic Clinic in the Faculty of Dentistry, Tanta University and privat clinics in Tanta city. The subjects were divided into normodivergent and normal sagittal facial pattern groups. Normodivergent group had a normal vertical skeletal relationship (FH-MP |
