Abstract The advent of the synthetic text ile fibres had stimulated the ingenuity of chemis ~s to find out dyes suitable for dyeing these new rib_H- The polyester fibres, possessing only the ester group and no other substituents, are unreceptive to all classes of organic dyestuffs except the disperse ones. Although no chemical bond is iuvolved in this dyeing, yet much research work had been devoted to explore how these dye molecules are held tight~ to those fibres_ The present work deals with the preparation of some new disperse dyes via the addition of some chosen epoxides to each of l,4-diamino- and l,5-diamino- anthraquinones. The exhaustion rates of these dyes. |
