Abstract Significance of the study: The study may help in:1-providing some new teaching approaches that can help teachers to develop their teaching styles and strategies. 2-presenting a practical model for developing vocabulary learning and autonomy by using VLS. 3-Getting Learners to plan their own vocabulary learning process with regard to these strategies. Delimitations of the study : The study is delimited to: 1-Five main vocabulary learning strategies, namely, guessing activation, grouping note taking and memory strategies. 2-Sample selected from second year English majors at fayoum university, Faculty of Education.
