Abstract Cisplatin, a chemotherapeutic agent has been successfully used in clinical oncology against diverse types of cancers. Despite its potent antineoplastic action, therapeutic importance, a wide range of adverse effects including reproductive toxicity has been demonstrated following cisplatin treatment in humans and experimental. Curcumin, a widely used spice and coloring agent in food, has been shown to possess potent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. The aim of this work is to declare the effect of investigate toxicity of chemotherapeutic drug cisplatin on reproductive system of male albino rat and the whether curcumin can serve as a protective agent against cisplatin-induced testicular dysfunction on normal cells in albino rats. |
