Abstract
Data used in the present study were assembled from the experimental Station, Sakha, Kafr El-Sheikh, Animal Production Research Institute, Ministry of Agriculture, Egypt. This data were taken from 217 New Zealand White (NZW), 87 Baladi Red rabbits (BR) and 202 crossbred (♂BR X ♀NZW) rabbits. The objectives of the present study were estimating genetic and non-genetic factors affecting some productive traits (body weight and body measurements as body length, chest circumference and thigh circumference at 6, 8, 01 and 02 weeks of age) in NZW, BR rabbits and their cross (♂BR X ♀NZW). In addition, estimating variance components, genetic parameters (heritability, genetic and phenotypic correlations), breeding values, epigenetic and environmental trends for this traits under study.
