Abstract The present study was designed to survey lncidence of IBR-IPV. virus infection in the local breeds by the serological exmination. aI’ eXferimental infection was carried out to clarify the effect of the virus on the male reproductive potential.The current work was conducted as follows: 1- Field investigation L a total of 1054 serum samples were taken from farm animals(175 cattle, 116 buffalaes, 365 sheep, 388gaats and 10 camles) located at Gize (386)and Hatrouh (668) Governorates. II- Experimental infection ..•.a. tota1C6’’1bulls clinically normal and serologically negative a~inst IBR-IPV. virus 5 of which were inoculated intrapreputially with 10 al of the poramoun IPV-virus strain having 6a titre of x 10 TCID / a1 when titrated in EBK cell cullure. The other two bulls were kept as control. Both the infected and control groups were put under observation to assess the clinical signs, the semen quality and quantity and the immune-response of bulls. After the 1st and 4th weeks post infection two bulls were slaughtered for the histopathological examination of the male genital organs one after a week and the other after 4 week. |
