Abstract The present work is assigned to study the corrosion behavior of copper in 1 M of Nitric acid and the inhibiting effect of some and green plants extract. The obtained results showed that the inhibition efficiency of these compounds increased by increasing their concentration, so that the adsorption of these compounds is physical and the adsorption of the green plants extract on copper surface in 1 M HNO3 follows Langmuir adsorption isotherm. Some thermodynamic parameters are computed and discussed. Potentiodynamic polarization technique was used as a second method to study the inhibiting effect of the used inhibitors. Also, impedance spectroscopy measurements, electrochemical frequency modulation measurements and AC impedance spectroscopy measurements, scanning electron microscopy. |
