Abstract

Fluorosilicate glass ceramics containing aluminum oxide are frequently used materials in dentistry. Three different cement types were prepared and studied. These types are: calcium fluoro-aluminosilcate cement (CFAS), calcium chromium fluoro-borate cement (CCrFB) and specific concentrations from CFAS and CCrFB cements were mixed to produce (CFABS) cement composite. Bioactive borate glasses containing 0.8 mol% Cr2O3 is recommended as the base material (CCrFB) used in synthesis bioactive acid modified glass ionomer cement (BRMGIC). Materials of this type are considered to be important in the dental field of application. Improved compatibility and bioactivity recommended it to be used as compatible restoration under permanent filler. It is used also as a compatible bioactive interface between the nerve trucks and the permanent filler. The hardness of the surface in the case of (CFAS) (280/Kg/mm2) is more higher than that of BAGIC (134 Kg/mm2). As a result (CFAS) type has to be used as a filler for dentin and enamel (exterior part of tooth) .
