Abstract this work is the first study the geochemistry of microfacies , diagensis and deposional environments of the Maabda and Beet ankh members of the Meir area , the two members of the minia formation were measured bed by bed , and sedimentologically investigated, fossils and micro facies characteristics were discribed in thin sections from 62 samples . limestone classification followed the Dunham (1962)Embry and Klovan nomenclature system. samples were collected to represent the entire thickness . thin sections were stained to distinguish calcite and dolomite. |
