Abstract Stored legume grains comprise a major portion of Egyptian food. These commodities are stored in traditional storage facilities and in most cases in one place. This type of storage may lead to cross infestation among the stored legume grains by a large number of arthropod species which reduce both the quality and quantity of grain legumes. Knowledge of legume susceptibility to arthropod pests, their natural enemies and the< environment interaction are important criterion when planning a costeffective pest management program. The objective of this study was to determine the population pattern of acarine and insects infesting stored legumes. |
