Abstract In batch process operations; production scheduling is to determine the most efficient way to produce a set of desired products in a given amount of time, the tasks to be scheduled usually take place in multiproduct batch plants. A development, solution and computational performance evaluation of optimal scheduling for multiproduct batch process have been presented for two commonly used transfer policies namely zero wait (ZW) and no intermediate storage (NIS) by using computer program language software (Java) which simplify and improve the determination of Makespan and select the optimum sequence due to the minimum Makespan. Also, scheduling of multi-product batch plant with uncertainty processing times which described in the form of Triangular fuzzy number (TFN) Trapezoidal fuzzy number (TrFN), we proposed a novel branch and bound algorithm that provides the optimal solution and which is based on a lower bound to expected makespan and the main mathematical methodology that have been developed to estimate a sequence of batches that minimize the expected makespan. |
