Abstract Warfarin is one of the most implicated drugs in causing serious adverse drug reactions that itself can lead to hospital admissions. There is interindividual variation in its response and the requirement of dosage adjustment among patients. That is why initiating, maintenance and monitoring of warfarin therapy have been a major concern among healthcare professionals. No previous studies examining warfarin therapy practice have been conducted at the Cardiology Department and ICU of Assiut University hospitals. Thus, the present study aimed at auditing of warfarin anticoagulation treatment at Assiut University Hospitals. This study was approved by the Research Ethics Committee at the Faculty of Medicine of Assiut University. |
