Abstract A total of 120 samples were collected from cattle, camel and buffalo including meat and liver. The obtained results indicated that the mean value of most probable number of coliforms (MPN) of the examined meat samples were 4.11±0.20, 4.12±0.25, 3.52±0.24and of the examined liver samples were 3.77±0.15, 3.81±0.14, 3.43±0.26 in cattle, buffalo and camel, respectively. the incidence of Enteropathogenic E.coliand serotypes were detected. Using PCR, we investigated the harboring of stx1, stx2 and eae. In a trial to reduce the MPN of coliforms using garlic and onion extracts.the public health importance of existed microorganisms as well as some recommendations are discussed. |
