This research aims at identifying the effect of the design of a virtual, adaptable environment based on participatory media to develop knowledge management skills and self-organized e-learning of high school students. The research was applied on a sample from first year secondary school girls of Al-Gadida Secondary School; second term 2014/2015 The descriptive approach was used in analyzing and studying stage .The experimental approach was used for designing the educational environment in this research. The experimental design with two experimental groups was used. The groups were a first experimental and a second experimental group.
The sample of this research consisted of (63) girl students who were randomly selected. The researcher has prepared the following tools: a cognitive test to measure the knowledge side of knowledge management skills, an observation card to measure the performance side of knowledge management skills and a measure for self-organized e-learning skills. The skills were approved to be honest and contestant. The researcher has followed the stages and procedures of Mohamed Atia Khamis’s design in designing and developing the virtual, adaptable environment. This included: analysis stage, design stage, development stage, evaluation stage and then the conclusion of the results and making the statistics. The research has proved the effectiveness of a virtual, adaptable environment based on participatory media to develop knowledge management skills and self-organized e-learning of high school students. It also included some recommendations and suggestions.
