Abstract

The study area is a part of El Dabaa site that situated at the North coast br of Egypt for developing a nuclear power plant. Site selec-#116;ion - br evaluation is a major phases of a nuclear power plant life cycle. Thus, the br present study starts with site selec-#116;ion process of El Dabaa site using a set br of common siting criteria that ranked by Analytic Hierarchy Process br (AHP) in GIS environment. br Ninety one of shallow seismic refraction tomography was conducted, br the first arrivals of the P-and S-seismic waves were picked up and the br velocities of these waves were determined to calculate the dynamic br geotechnical properties of the bedrock. Subsurface model was obtained br -#102;-#114;-#111;-#109; the analysis of seismic data and calibrated with the drilled boreholes br scattered within the study area. This model reveals three engineering br layers. The surface and the second layers are considered as overburden br while the third one is the bedrock. br Most of the important dynamic properties of the bedrock (elastic.
