Abstract ABSTRACT Alsheimaa Mohamed Nazmy Abd-ELhalim: Improving Productive Performance of Rabbits Fed Different Levels of Some Amino Acids Under Summer Conditions,Unpublished M.Sc. Thesis, Department of Poultry production, Faculty of Agriculture, Ain Shams University, 2015. The main objective of the study was to elucidate the effects of high ambient temperature on productive performance and physiological response of NZW growing rabbits supplemented or non- supplemented with different levels of methionine, lysine or their combination. A total of 150 unsexed NZW growing rabbits aged about 28 days, 650 g with an average initial weight were divided into 10 treatment groups, each treatment group divided into 3 rep. of 5 rabbits each. The treatment groups were assigned as follow: T1: un-supplemented group, rabbits were fed on a basal diet. Groups from T2:T10 were fed on a basal diet plus meth., lys. or their combination as follow: T2: 25% meth., T3: 50% meth., T4: 100% meth., T5: 25% lys., T6: 50% lys., T7: 100% lys., T8: 25% meth. + 25% lys., T9: 50% meth. + 50% lys. and T10: 100% meth. +100% lys. All rabbits were kept under the ambient temperature during the period from June to July and the average ambient temperatures recorded during the experimental period was 33ºC ± 2ºC and 23 ºC ± 2ºC for maximum and minimum indoor temperature, resp. At 12 week of age (WOA) the temperature was increased to 36ºC±1ºC / 6 hrs daily for 3 consecutive days at the end of the experimental period. The results showed that live body weight, body weight gain and fee |
